5 things I’ve learned from past life regression.
As I begin my journey as a past life regression (PLR) hypnotist, I reflect on what has led me here: my own experiences of PLR with The Quantum Lady, which allowed me to rediscover my identity as an immortal soul and heal from the forgotten trauma of past lives that was impacting my current life.
PLR is a deeply personal experience, and I’m not ready to share the nitty gritty of everything I’ve learned about myself (I may have broken down during almost all of my sessions). But there is plenty that I can share which may help others to understand what PLR is all about and what they may gain from it.
As you read through this, keep in mind that every soul is on their own unique journey, and what is true for me may not be true for you.
All my lives have been (roughly) a century apart.
During each of my regressions, I’ve moved backwards in time chronologically.
My first regression took me to the early 1900s Edwardian era, where I was basically the exact same as I am now, just a hundred years earlier (more on that later).
My next regression appeared to be in the 1800s, where I was a Native American enslaved by the colony.
Then I went to Scotland in the 1600–1700s, where I was a soldier fighting against the British. This was my first experience of myself in the masculine form—and it was quite jarring!
While my lives have been roughly a century apart each time, this is not true for everyone. I recently regressed someone who had died in the 1990s and almost immediately been reborn. We all have different patterns, or may follow no pattern at all.
I have two soul groups.
It’s commonly believed that we move through lifetimes with the same soul group. As I’ve explored my past lives, I’ve found this to be true. However, I have noticed that I seem to have two distinct soul groups with no crossover between them that I’m yet aware of.
This means that I have my current soul group in this lifetime (my family and friends) and another group who, at this stage, are only with me in spirit.
My current life is a do-over of the last.
All right, this one is a bit sad, but it’s also the perfect example of how PLR can help you to heal.
In my previous lifetime, I was a young woman writing romance novels in the early 1900s. It was a bold choice for the era, and, as you would expect, it caused some friction with my already dysfunctional family—particularly my father. I ended up running away, where I continued to write, fell in love, and got married. Things were looking pretty good! But then I died. And I was still so young, only in my early twenties.
As I stood in spirit, looking down at my body and taking in what had happened, I had many things to grieve. But the thing that hurt most was that I had never gotten to finish my novel, and that my work would never be shared with the world.
Flash forward to the 1990s, where I was reborn as who I am now. Even as a child, I wanted to be a writer and knew it was my destiny to become one. That belief never wavered, but I have had a great deal of fear around the issue, including the very irrational belief that I would die before anyone ever saw my work.
Discovering where this fear came from was one of the greatest healing experiences I’ve had with PLR. That fear hasn’t revisited me since, nor many of the other blocks I had in this area. The other traumas I’ve healed from this lifetime include my relationships and a recent pattern of dying young.
I am old.
I always wondered about all the lines on my hands. Apparently, having wrinkly palms means you’re an ‘old soul’—and I’ve been called that enough times by others in my spiritual circle (and total randoms).
But how old am I really?
During a special PLR group session with The Quantum Lady, we explored past lives in ancient Egypt, which I’d always felt drawn to. TL;DR, I was there, which means that, if all my lifetimes have indeed been roughly a century apart, then I’ve had over twenty lifetimes. Objectively speaking, I would say that’s old, but I could easily be much older than that.
It is real.
There are some who question whether PLR is real or if it is merely a dreamlike, subconscious representation of what you are currently going through.
On a personal level, my regressions have taken me to places and times that I never would have anticipated. Not only that, but they have also shown me key details that I never would have imagined, which I was later able to research and validate, to varying degrees. This includes the war I fought in during my Scottish lifetime (and the armour I wore), my experience of slavery as a Native American, and many details of my life in ancient Egypt.
As a spiritual medium, I’ve also been visited by past versions of myself years before I regressed. And, in one instance, I regressed a client to a past version of themselves that I had already encountered in spirit (but never told them about).
There are many written accounts of PLR providing key information on historical events, people speaking in foreign languages while under hypnosis, and past lives being validated by the shared experiences of family and friends.
